After we decided to go with the Board game version I was relived. Unlike the digital version this is a (relatively) safe project that isn't weighed down by programming and it freed up Joakim to focus on other things.

My work during this week was all about the booth and a little trip to a printer shop. At the shop Me, Andre and Joakim worked out a good deal with the people there. Long story short: They're basically doing it for free.

I also managed to locate a place that actually able to provide us with cheap used car seats that we'll make chairs out of for our booth.

I also started working on our presentation and decided to go through it at least once per day so it'll be truly great when it's time. ;)

Carnage has gone back to basics

For those who haven't been following Carnage's development it might come as a surprise that it was originally designed to be a board game.

I am bringing this up because our group has had a bit of a setback last week(which is actually 2 weeks ago as this blog post never made it online somehow). We came to the realization that we wouldn't be able to deliver a digitalized version in time for GGC, as we only have one (capable) programmer in our group.
In light of this we have decided to go back to basics and concentrate on making polished version of the board game instead. Having said that, there is still a lot of things to get ready before GGC.

My biggest priority right now is to make the booth the best it can be. Demanding work, but it's a lot more stimulating than running around talking to print shops.

Change of plans!

I have not forgotten about this blog for a moment, but there has been too much to do since I darted it to actually make any contributions.

Now on the other hand, I have to make blogposts as part of an assignment and I will be using this blog for that purpose.

So from now til the end of May 2011 this blog will be completely devoted to my designer diary in which I'll document my personal feelings for and personal work progress on the game I'm working on.

Be sure to have a look at our developer blog too: www.carnagethegame.com

All the best.
