I had a bit of a problem getting the car dealers get the car seats here on time, but I FINALLY managed to solve it. A big 'Thank you' goes out to Henrik Reinz who is the one who actually picked them up for us.
I've been working on sound effects for the trailer and they'll be ready once the artists are done with our awesome trailer and teaser.

We got our T-shirts this week, and they looked better than I expected. In addition to that we have received business cards that's adored with a link to our (fabulous) project-blog, but I doubt we will get much use out of them. We aim to collect business cards, not to hand them out anyway.
The presentation is 100% done. I still practice it 1-2 times a day, since I really do have a lot of "spare time"

I spent 4 hours this Wednesday turning the car dealership inside out looking for the seats that we could afford AND could use. The majority of the things were damaged beyond repair and some of them were quite expensive, but I did manage to secure 4 seats that we could use.
Other than that there is nothing special to report. I have been working on the presentation and booth layout as per usual.

This week I spent a lot of time getting the inventory ready for our booth. We had to make some changes of course, due to the fact that we're not making a digital game anymore.
Getting hold of a barrel (that was meant to be purely for decorating) proved to be to much of a bother to take care of so I decided to skip it. The car dealers and I spoke again and we decided that I should pay them a visit on the following week.
I also used a lot of time to make sure that we would have some killer soundbites for the trailer. I owe Finn Engström my thanks as he helped me out a lot with the technical aspects of sound editing and for lending me a copy of GAME's sound library.

After we decided to go with the Board game version I was relived. Unlike the digital version this is a (relatively) safe project that isn't weighed down by programming and it freed up Joakim to focus on other things.
My work during this week was all about the booth and a little trip to a printer shop. At the shop Me, Andre and Joakim worked out a good deal with the people there. Long story short: They're basically doing it for free.
I also managed to locate a place that actually able to provide us with cheap used car seats that we'll make chairs out of for our booth.
I also started working on our presentation and decided to go through it at least once per day so it'll be truly great when it's time. ;)

Carnage has gone back to basics
For those who haven't been following Carnage's development it might come as a surprise that it was originally designed to be a board game.
I am bringing this up because our group has had a bit of a setback last week(which is actually 2 weeks ago as this blog post never made it online somehow). We came to the realization that we wouldn't be able to deliver a digitalized version in time for GGC, as we only have one (capable) programmer in our group.
In light of this we have decided to go back to basics and concentrate on making polished version of the board game instead. Having said that, there is still a lot of things to get ready before GGC.
My biggest priority right now is to make the booth the best it can be. Demanding work, but it's a lot more stimulating than running around talking to print shops.

Change of plans!
I have not forgotten about this blog for a moment, but there has been too much to do since I darted it to actually make any contributions.
Now on the other hand, I have to make blogposts as part of an assignment and I will be using this blog for that purpose.
So from now til the end of May 2011 this blog will be completely devoted to my designer diary in which I'll document my personal feelings for and personal work progress on the game I'm working on.
Be sure to have a look at our developer blog too: www.carnagethegame.com
All the best.
